I did my 1st talk at BarCamp JB on 6th December 2008, this is the very 1st time JerryOng.com talk as a blogger. Special Thanks the organizer, Cheryl Goh invitation and everyone who attend my presentation.

This is my second time attend BarCamp and feel happy able to share with camper fellow my topic “How to Utilize Online Social Networking to Built Your Blog Reader and Grow Your Business“

At first i was a bit nervous but lucky i had little experience of giving speech for my business and feel happy to meet up few long lost secondary school mate at BarCamp, also meet some new friends like Lionel Chew, Pik Sun, Hassim and many other interesting people who love to share and learn.

I start fall in love with unconference style BarCamp and looking forward to join the next camp targeted at Kuala Lumpur during February or March 2009.

Friendster.com had finally came out with their latest service update explain about what actually happened for their recently long schedule site maintenance.

According their official blog, friendster’s unscheduled downtime was due to a power outage at their outsourced data center in Santa Clara, California where Friendster’s servers are co-located along side approximately 50 other companies. As a result, Friendster, as well as a number of other online companies, experienced unscheduled and unavoidable downtime. At this time, Friendster is back online and their team is working quickly to restore everything back to normal.

Friendster.com, the largest social network in Asia had experience long downtime for schedule maintenance

Some netizen suspect they probably hacked but there is no comfirm news release on this matter yet, all we can do is wait until friendster team doing their press release. You may find more about friendster’s users comment on this schedule maintenance matter here!

Friendster.com user’s blog now support video embed YouTube, and Slide only whereby due to security reason the features was fully disabled previouly.

This week Friendster.com had deployed a new version of user blogs. include following changes:

1 ) Embedded videos! You can now copy/paste object tags from YouTube and Slide into your posts. More to come!

2 ) 70 more themes to choose from.

3 ) Updated Mandigo theme.

4) “Add Media window” has Gallery and Media Library tabs again - for easy access to your Media Library (for embedding images into your posts).

5 ) And various bug fixes.
